Spring/Summer 2010 Press Release

For SS'10 the James Lakeland Collection is a decadent mix of 1940's and 1950's sophistication. This time the style anti is upped with a modern twist.

Contrasting textures and construction of knitwear add a new dimension to day wear. Fine weaves are juxtaposed with braids on cropped cardigans, dresses and matching cardigan jackets.

Draped jersey pieces in champagne and khaki flatter yet define the shape. Silk maxi dresses in rich chartreuse grey are highlighted with a vibrant green sash, whilst cocoon shaped dresses are light as air with fluid, fluted sleeves.

Classic neutrals include navy and cream. Style hunter's essentials include a pin tucked tunic in navy and high waisted sailor trousers, ship shape for summer's nautical stance. The classic trench re-emerges bang up to date in a monochrome check print.

For fashionable evenings, shot metallic green pea coats have bracelet sleeves and polka dot buttons.

A dress collection to -die-for, choose from summer's coolest, white shirt dresses, knitted cocktail dresses with jewel appliqué, over sized polka dot maxi dresses and the finest silk asymmetric dresses in champagne hues.

The eponymous Luxury Collection once again provides red carpet glamour. Luxurious jacquard skirts, jackets and dresses in exclusive monochrome, poppy print or elegant polka dot s are finished to a tailored, 't'.

These structured shapes are offset with the most desirable organza and linen mix jackets .
